The Ministry Interns work side-by-side in a country of their choosing with local missionaries who offer practical ministry training. Students will be using their major as they help out with children’s programs, college ministries, adult ministries, Bible Studies, accounting, data entry, communication, graphic design, web development or many other ministry related responsibilities. Interns will gain real life missions experience by seeing the country and the work first-hand. The Classes Missions interns don’t have to miss out on any of their college education while overseas! The internship program is flexible enough that students might be able to maintain a full course load while working in a cross-cultural setting (includes 6 internship credits). Students can spend a summer, a semester, or, if an ICST major, up to a year living, serving and studying abroad. On most of the fields, interns have access to the internet, allowing them to interact with their classmates and communicate with their teachers. We will work with you to help you find overseas placement to combine your internship requirements in your major with a ministry focus that is helping to advance the spread of the gospel. Getting Started If this program sounds like something that you might be interested in, there are a few steps you need to take to begin the process. Begin by downloading the LU Abroad Preliminary Information questionnaire and fill it out and hit submit. Once this information is complete and has been submitted then we will contact you to schedule an appointment to meet with our staff. We will use the information you provide to find an agency that will be the best fit for you. The missions agency will work alongside our staff to guide you through the rest of the process.
